Partnerships

Atlantis Leisure

From its inception, Healthy Options has worked in close partnership with Atlantis Leisure. We hire their facilities to hold welcome meetings and education classes, deliver fitness classes and provide wellbeing support for clients, and we work collaboratively to build workforce capacity between the organisations and on other projects for the benefit both organisations—and the community. This partnership is a key component in supporting our community’s health and wellbeing.

Connecting Communities Collective

Healthy Options is a founding member of the Connecting Communities Collective, along with AliEnergy, Hope Kitchen and Oban Youth Cafe. Atlantis Leisure Centre is also a member.

The CCC grew from the understanding that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts; by working together, essential sector organisations can better use resources, share learning, and reach more people in our communities. We aim to strengthen capacity for partnerships, and are working to encourage and support more connections.

HSCP Living Well in Argyll & Bute

Leading on from historic cross-sector partnership work designed to minimise the risk of unscheduled care and hospital admissions, as well as improve health and wellbeing in our communities, Healthy Options continues to work with Argyll & Bute HSCP supporting the Living Well strategy for people living with, or at risk of developing, long-term health conditions. Healthy Options is proud to be part of “The Living Well Programme”, an A&B-wide service development aimed at taking rehabilitation services out of hospital or clinical settings and into the community. This allows us to support more people to improve their health and wellbeing by utilising community assets in a proactive and holistic approach.

As the sector’s chartered professional body, CIMSPA works on behalf of the whole sport and physical activity sector – supporting, developing and enabling professionals to succeed and, as a result, support the UK to be more active. As an Employer Partner, Healthy Options aligns our staff support, training and development with CIMSPA’s Professional Standards to ensure that our amazing staff have everything they need to feel supported and to support our clients.

Other Partnership Working

GP Medical Practices:
From the outset, working closely with GP practices has been vital to our connected-up, collaborative approach, and one of the key foundations for success. This long-established relationship enables interdisciplinary working across general practices and community healthcare teams.

Physiotherapy Department - Lorn & Islands District General Hospital:
Since 2016, we have been working in partnership with the local Physiotherapy Team. The progression of this partnership has supported the development of pathways between statutory and third sector services for clients rehabilitating from illness or injury, as well as those requiring support to age well.

In addition to this we have ever-growing referral and social prescription relationships with many public, private and third sector organisations throughout the Oban & Lorn area.
